We are a family run plant nursery, established in 1921, operating from two sites in Hadrian’s Wall Country. The first seeds were sown at our West Heddon Nursery, which is about 1 mile North West of Heddon on the Wall. Within the surrounds of the old walled gardens of Heddon House we carry a wide range of trees, shrubs, fruit bushes, roses, garden sundries and compost. These are available alongside a wide range of herbaceous perennials, seasonal bedding and young vegetable plants which have been home grown at our Ovington site. Although a smaller site, Ovington boasts a wider range of perennials, all grown on site.

In the very early years we started specialising in Dahlias and Chrysanthemums. The fields at Heddon are a sight to see in late summer with over 15,000 plants in flower from late August until the first frosts.
